OURO is an indie online trading card battler where you wage battles with cosmic beings, summons, and artifacts in this newly crafted IP. Within it exists your own infinitely procedural universe to explore at your leisure. Explore worlds where you must survive waves of foes and duel cosmic heroes (PvE) or test your mettle by venturing into reality bridges dueling other users across platforms (PvP crossplay).
Battles utilize turn-based combat on a hexagon board where every attack, move, and card cast has one of six unique patterns. You will start every battle with your cosmic being, and all cards are cast from them. To win, simply ensure your cosmic is the last one standing.
Every world, opponent, and card belongs to an origin that has a unique display, and playstyle with varying rules for each. To succeed, it is crucial to understand each origin’s powerful strengths and fatal weaknesses. Each origin is organized around cosmic sets; every cosmic set features a cosmic being, summons, and artifacts that all belong to their reality. However, every cosmic belongs to a specific rarity that scales in power, effects, and display.

- The abstract represents those that exist beyond reality
Once you have bested foes in battle, you can spend your hard-earned currency in our centralized shop (the collector). Acquire new cards from packs, broker between users for the currency you need, or trade to get the exact card you need; it’s entirely your choice! No matter your playstyle, the collector will be the location to maximize your experience. With an open market, fluctuating inventory, and dynamic exchange rates we hope to provide an engaging, dynamic, and balanced marketplace for all.

- implemented a new daily system that allows for random quests generated per day that, if completed, awards a free daily pack
- added push notifications for the daily system that notifies you when dailies are guaranteed to be refreshed and available
- implemented a new battle boost system that allows you to spend OURO coins or watch an advertisement to double ALL rewards on a battle (including dailies)
- implemented a new PvAI tile where you duel versus a cosmic heroes
- introduced three new packs for the Core set that cost more but filtered to a specific origin; tuned the cost of packs accordingly
- added new audio toggle functionality that persists throughout the app and between sessions
- lowered universe rarity spawn curve from 1000 to 250, so higher rarity tiles appear more often through gameplay
- tuned the economy for the universe to be solely focused on gem generation and coins generated from the collector via monetization (adverts, IAP, events) but can still be brokered for gems from users
- advertisements now generate three coins (up from 1) but are restricted to a one-hour time gate
- chat now persist messages from all users between sessions to better facility connecting to other users
- boosted the strength of cards in general

- ensuring tiles in the universe always generate properly
- thorough pass on the stability and flow of deck management so that you can swap cosmics, rename decks, and modify existing decks better
- stabilizing collector so that functionally it can't get locked and smoothly can be interacted with multiple purchases via all services
- improved battle stability, especially in online PvP, has fixed a swath of issues

- Assemble has become Charge, a 1 cost card that returns energy to help initial ramp issues
- Buffing Drone, Sentry, Seeker, Eliminator by a 1 cost reduction to help machine ramp past early phases
- Introducing a “Last Draw Advantage” rule to help negate stalling games: the last card drawn into your hand is always guaranteed to be castable
- AI now weights various paths to the target and works to avoid being hit by units attacks; the higher the rarity of the unit, the more intelligent they will behave

- Every universe is seeded with a unique value that creates unique star and cloud patterns per user
- Tuning IAP, advert rewards, universe coins, and gems rewards throughout the app to balance rewards between activities; this will continue to occur in live as we closely monitor the economy

- Considerable memory optimization > 35% to prevent the application from crashing due to memory usage
- Optimization passes on levels to reduce sluggish combat, especially on organic and machine levels
- Cards are now only cast if they have a valid target and are no longer consumed when targeting an invalid target
- When a unit is cast with Pacify (no attack flag), they can now properly be attacked
- Ensuring tablet devices can initialize properly with optional framework requirements instead of requiring it and crashing

- Removed any timer on all offline battles, which is only present in online PvP to restrict the time
- Machine originating decks now start with 3 cards upon start to balance as they must start with a 1 cost
- Pass on all tutorial text throughout the application to standardize conciseness and font size
STABILITY
- Display renders of cards properly display with no distortion (stretched or squished)
- Socket connections properly re-connect after resuming an existing play session
- Tablet aspect ratios now adapt their UI to fit properly, massively improving UX on those devices
- Making subsequent in-app purchases within the application no longer gets locked up with pending or old purchases
